It is renowned for its wonderful landscape and artistic legacy. The area is famous for its wines. Chianti, Morellino di Scansano and Brunello di Montalcino are the most well known. Rich olive oil is also produced in this region. The capital of Toscana is Florence, the city of art. The weather during spring is a wonderful average of 18 - 25C Therefore, it is a perfect setting to spend a relaxing, romantic long weekend in Tuscany. We have chosen for you a 5 star hotel in a 15th century villa, in the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany. The villa is situated in the middle of a 300 acre estate of vineyards, olive grooves and Tuscan forest. In the villa are original restored Renaissance frescoes and 15th century antiques. The hotel has all the modern amenities and also has a SPA and swimming pool. It is only 12 km away from Florence. You will arrive in Florence airport on Friday, pick up the rental car and drive to the hotel. Then you will get settled in and have a special dinner at the hotel. On Saturday we suggest to take a trip of the surrounding countryside where you can visit some wineries for wine tasting and some lovely charming villages in the region.
